About Us
Over the years, the need for home and community based services have increased
dramatically. In 1970 Senior Citizen Home Assistance Service (SCHAS) was
organized in Knox County to fill this need. For 36 years SCHAS has been and is
the leading agency to meet those needs.
Our mission is to enable the frail elderly or disabled to have the highest
quality of life possible. SCHAS is a non-profit, tax exempt agency formed to
provide trained caregivers in the home, assisted living, nursing home, hospital
etc.
SCHAS serves 15 East Tennessee Counties.
